More About Steve

Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 4, 1942, I moved to Trenton, NJ, then to Brookline, Mass, and graduated from Brookline High School in August 1962. I enlisted in the US Navy in late August of 1962, and I was in boot camp during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

My first orders were to Naval Air Technical Training Unit, which was at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. I was part of the ship’s company, tasked with training recruits who were going to work on the flight decks of aircraft carriers. This was one of the most dangerous working environments in the Navy. My next set of orders were to the Naval Air Station in Keflavik, Iceland for 1 year. My next assignment was to the amphibious Construction Battalion out of Little Creek, Virginia, and deployed to the USS Graham County 1176 for the remainder of my enlistment. Honorably discharged, I separated from the Navy in September 1966.

I married my beautiful wife, Susan, in September 1969, and we moved from Norwood, Mass to Northern New Jersey, Detroit, Mich, Columbus, OH. Then, in 1979, we settled in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, then Jupiter, FL, and now reside in Boca Raton, FL. I have two boys, Michael (deceased) and Craig, and four grandchildren, Cole, Ben, Max, and Rebecca. I have been in the floor covering industry, owning my own retail flooring stores, and working for major flooring manufacturers such as Lees Carpet and Mohawk Industries. I became an independent certified floor inspector in 2006.

My son Craig had been taking trips to Airel BVI, and I was curious about what the attraction was to the private island. So, I told Craig I watched a zoom meeting about the upcoming Abundance Summit being held at Airel BVI. Craig told me he had paid for a trip to the Island and he wanted me to go since I expressed an interest. He said he would ask to see if he could switch it to me, his Dad. If it weren’t for my son Craig, I would not be never finished my book! He offered me a free trip to the Abundance Summit in Airel BVI in April 2023.

I attended with no idea what to expect. During the summit, I was surrounded by such inspiring people that it drew greatness out of me. When I returned home, my priority was to finish my manuscript that I started when I was 69. I stopped when I lost my first-born son to brain cancer, 12 years ago.

I returned to Airel BVI for the 2024 Abundance Summit with my wife and my son Craig. Both Abundance Summits were life-changing and amazing because they drew such inspiring people who offered an abundance of positive information that set me on the correct path: never give up on yourself or your dreams. I figured that if my story was important enough to me, then it does not matter if the odds are against me, because I already “won.” You are never too old to start your next chapter of life!! Nine months later, the book was available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
